Changes In The World: Nelson Mandela

The beautiful landscape surrounds me, as I stare around the horizon: birds fly from left to right, then right to left; plants are growing through the soil, causing an eruption of flowers; animals and insects freely roam, delighted at the opportunity of unqualified freedom.

The bird is a blackbird, the plant is a black tulip, the animal is a zebra and the insect is an ant.

The horizon I stare into is Johannesburg, South Africa – and all of this freedom is only possible because of the actions of one great man, Nelson Mandela.
