Day & Night

As the clock neared the midnight mark,
The hands revolved, lost in a spiral of continuity.

As the stars glistened in the midnight sky,
Darkness encompassing light, buildings affixed like rocks onto the tarmac floor.

As the bridges were left untouched,
The cold night evolving, the shudders of the wind lashed at the winding river.

As the river bends sinuously in the provocative wind,
The howls of the city ringing continuously, London stands by for the day ahead.
